DONE!

I am done with the blanket for Kara’s new baby. I hope she will like it. I am not a huge fan of the color. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been looking at it for a couple of weeks, I just think it’s looking a little dingy. Could just be my eyes. But I am loving the pattern. I love the roll at both ends provided by the garter stitch and the eyelets in the decorative rows. I would make another.

Now I need to stuff the poor little sad bear. But again, not thrilled with the colors, it might be a little much. I was thinking about giving it to Mindy and going back and picking up some other fabric for Kara’s little bundle. I think she might appreciate something a little more…subdued.

I’m looking for another project and I also just read the posting on The Blue Blog about Sockapalooza.
I have never participated in something like this, and I really want to. But I don’t know how to make socks and I don’t wanna disappoint the person I get with some fugly socks cause I don’t know what I’m doing. Anyone have some good instructions for making socks. I’m good till I get to the gusset? Is that what it’s called? The heel basically!

I might have to marinate on this for a day or so. I’ll let you know

Tell me about it!
