Fires, chili, knitting and football!

The Colts won! It was a tough game for them, and a home game. But they won.
Go Boys in Blue!

So I watched the game, but before that, I went out and purchased this new crockpot so I could make Chili. 🙂
Since it’s a cold Sunday afternoon, I decided to build a fire in the fireplace.
while watching the game I worked on my knitting. I’m knitting this Doctor bag from the Knit 2 Together book.
It’s going well.
I got the yarn yesterday on clearance from Michaels, $1 a skein! I bought 10. The entire lot of that color. I also bought some other yarn, which I really didn’t need, but I really wanted. I think I’m going to use the green (below) to make Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Spiral Hat from the Opinionated Knitter. I can’t wait! I might start that later this evening.
I’ve also been working on my Monthly KAL, this one is two dishclothes at once. I only have day one done, I need to print out the instructions so I can work on day two and three. I’m completely intrigued by the two at once thing, but it seems to have caused a lot of confusion in the group.
What else? It’s been a crazy week. Getting ready for Thanksgiving. I spent last Sunday at Chris’ families house for Thanksgiving and he is coming out of town to meet my family for Thanksgiving. I’ll let you know how that goes. He met my parents Thursday, it’s the first time I’ve really ever introduced a guy I’m dating to my parents and it will definately be the first time I take a boy to meet my extended family! Send me good vibes! 🙂

Oh and I just finished the neck warmer from Knit 2 Together also!

  1. Hahaha! I have to tell you that I’m from MD and we used to own the Colts. My dad was such a big fan and it so permeated our entire family with his distaste when they “snuck out in the middle of the night” That was what, 30 years ago? 🙂 lol, I’m only 35 and I still remember that 🙂 Hope you had a great Thanksgiving 🙂
